Incubation
Institute Incubation and Innovation Council (I3C), IIT Jammu takes care of the generated intellectual property (IP) within the institute. I3C collaborate with the various departments of IIT to contribute towards creating an innovation-driven culture that facilitates an easy process in translating cutting-edge research into protected intellectual assets. The council also helps in the identification, evaluation, and processing of invention disclosures for the formal registration of IP.

Who can apply?
- The Incubator primarily supports technology-driven startups working on innovative products/processes (Preferably in the first five years since inception at the time of application).
- Registered in India as private limited companies under the Companies Act 2013. (Individuals can apply before registration, but onboarding will be subject to company formation).
- Resident Indian citizens should hold the majority (> 50%) of shares.
- At least one of the promoters works full-time with the startup.
How to apply
STEP 2
Should your idea be shortlisted for incubation, you will receive an email requesting a 5-minute pitch deck addressing the six-P Questions:
- Problem: What real-world problem does your idea address?
- Promise: What solution are you proposing?
- Proof: Why should we have confidence in your product or idea?
- Payoff: What is the tangible value of your solution?
- Profit: How will your idea generate revenue?
- Passion: Why are you dedicated to this idea?
STEP 3
The I3C Working Committee will evaluate your pitch deck according to predefined parameters.
STEP 4
If the I3C Working Committee deems your pitch satisfactory, you will be invited for a Technical and Market Assessment of your startup idea.
STEP 5
A final decision will be made within 7 days of the interview. If approved, an agreement will be signed between the startup and I3C IIT Jammu for the provision of I3C services.
