The Institute Incubation and Innovation Council (I3C) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu successfully concluded a transformative 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, organized in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MoE’s IIC).
The program aimed to inspire a mindset shift among educators, empowering them to nurture and guide future innovators within their institutions. Over five days, the FDP brought together an exceptional cohort of faculty members, thought leaders, and startup enthusiasts to explore the foundations of entrepreneurial education and innovation-driven learning.
The sessions covered a range of key topics, including:
- Fundamentals of Innovation and Entrepreneurship – Understanding how ideas evolve into impactful ventures.
- Design Thinking and Problem Solving – Enabling educators to identify real-world challenges and guide students toward sustainable solutions.
- Business Model Canvas and Go-to-Market Strategies – Integrating entrepreneurial frameworks into academic curricula.
- Financial Planning, Funding, and Scalability – Exploring the essentials of venture creation and long-term sustainability.
- Intellectual Property and Legal Frameworks – Educating faculty on protecting and commercializing innovation.
